Longtown Beef Breeding Bull Sale Report
C&D Auction Marts Limited held their inaugural multi breed bull sale at Longtown on Tuesday 15th March 2016.
The sale was a great success and a packed ringside of keen bidders ensured vendors went home delighted.
The top call of the day was 2,500gns for a Limousin shown by first time cattle vendors, J.M. & S.M. Priestley, Cracrop Farm, purchased by the Moss Side herd. Beef Shorthorns sold to 2,400gns from J.D.M. Thomson, Newlands, away to Meikle Whitriggs, Corrie. Next call was for a Simmental at 2,350gns sold by D.C. Houldey, Kirtleton House, bought by Mr Jardine, Dalbeattie. Black Limousin sold to 2,000gns from A. & A. Ewing, Dumbretton.
