The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart plc had a catalogue entry of 443 head at their Annual Spring Kirkcambeck sale at Longtown on Tuesday 1st April 2014.
The Kirkcambeck sale met a fantastic trade with a full ring of buyers ensuring the sale average was up £154 on the year and vendors went home delighted. Top price to £1,390 for an Angus bullock sold by Messrs D. & Y. Wilson, Plumpe Farm, Charolais’ sold to £1,360 (x2) also from Messrs Wilson. Charolais Heifersto £1,230 (x3) again from Plumpe Farm. Galloways sold to £970 (x2) from J.F. Latimer, Chapelhouse with Shorthorns to £1,045 (x4) and £1,025 (x4) from Messrs H. & M. Connell, Minsca and Blue Greys to £975 from A. & A. Hogg, Milnholm.
